The inaugural ceremony of the departmental training programme for the probationary officers belonging to the 33rd batch of BCS (Audit & Accounts) was held at the Financial Management Academy (FIMA) on Wednesday.
The Comptroller and Auditor of Bangladesh, Masud Ahmed, attended the programme as chief guest. Presided over by Director General FIMA, Mohammad Moslem Uddin, the programme was attended by, among others, senior officials of the Audit and Accounts Department.
Congratulating the trainee officers on their success in the competitive civil service examinations, the chief guest extolled their decision to join the Audit and Accounts department with a view to assisting the Comptroller and Auditor General in performing his Constitutional duties and responsibilities, thereby contributing to the promotion of accountability and transparency in public financial management in particular and good governance in general.
He also hoped that the trainee officers would devote themselves to the service of the nation by applying the knowledge and skills they are going to gain from their departmental training in their real life.
