A four-day workshop on digital preservation of archive materials started at National Archive Bhaban in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar here.
The Archive and Library Department organized the workshop as part of its ongoing endeavor for digitization of the country’s all important archives. Cultural Affairs Secretary Aktari Momtaz inaugurated the workshop as the chief guest while the department’s director Obaydul Bari Chowdhury was in the chair.
Muktijuddha Jadughar trustee Mofidul Haque and Director General of Bangladesh National Museum Fayzul Latif Chowdhury spoke as the special guest.
Two experts from the USA – Trudy Hump Paterson and Richard Pearce – will give training on digitalization of archival materials to 25 trainees from different museums and archives of the country.
