Training on biochar, carbon rich organic fertilizers at Savar

The two-day training on “Development of Business Plan on Commercialization of Biochar and Carbon-rich Organic Fertilizers” has been completed on Monday at Savar, outskirt of the capital Dhaka.
Under the auspices of CCDB Biochar Project, training on “Development of Business Plan on Biochar and Carbon-rich Organic Fertilizer Commercialization” was organized in the CCDB Hope Center Training Room. On the first day of the training, DewanSiraj, Media Partner of Biochar Project and a popular media personality, was a regular presenter of the popular agricultural program Mati O Manush on Bangladesh Television. The training was presided over by Samiran Biswas, Coordinator, Biochar Project, CCDB. NirmalTudu and 10 members of the Business Management Committee of Biochar Enterprise Shibalaya and Manda Karma area. The project is being implemented with the financial support of the international donor organization ICCO and Cork in Actai. On the first day of the two-day training, Sameeran Biswas, Co-ordinator of Biochar Project, delivered the welcome address and inaugurated the training. Widely discussed in detail.
Kalipada Sarkar, Honorary Manager, CCDB Hope Center was present on the second day of the training. He discussed the use and expansion of biochar technology in agriculture and implementation of business management among the trainees.
He also said that biochar technology is playing an important role in agriculture and in the near future biochar technology will be the only tool for safe food production in agriculture in Bangladesh.
Md. AbulKalam Azad, Project Head, Asia Zone, ICCO, joined the training on social media via Skype. He asked the participants to know about the demand for biochar in the market and expressed satisfaction with the response of the participants. Despite the Corona epidemic, he was satisfied with the current activities of the Biochar project and expressed a positive attitude.
Participants in the training will discuss the use and commercialization of biochar and carbon-rich organic fertilizers and biochar technologies to combat climate change and achieve sustainable soil health to achieve food self-sufficiency.
