Training on advanced techniques in Biotech concludes at JU

A two-week long workshop titled ‘Training on Advanced Techniques in Biotechnology’ concluded on the third instant on the Jahangirnagar University campus.
JU Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering (BGE) department in association with Society of Microbiology, UK organised the workshop.
JU Vice-Chancellor Professor Farzana Islam addressed the concluding session of the workshop as the chief guest held at the senate hall of the university.
Chairman of the Department Assistant Professor Sharif Hossain presided over the function while teachers and students of BGE were present at the function.
Under the supervision of JU Biotech Club, Research Fellows of University of Leads, UK Dr. Kith Grehan and Dr. Lee Sheri imparted training to the participants about the advanced biotechnologies at the two-weeklong workshop.
A total of 95 students of the university took part in the workshop.
At the concluding session, JU VC distributed certificates among the participants.
