The observations came yesterday at the concluding ceremony of a 35-day technical training course for Ansar-VDP members on ‘Repairing and maintenance of mobile phone sets’ at Mahiganj Regional Vocational Training Centre, Rangpur.
The course was arranged for minimum SSC passed Ansar-VDP members of the 18-35 year age group under its Training Programme to turn them into skilled workforce for achieving self-reliance through income generation activities.
Thirty-five male Ansar-VDP platoon members from Rangpur, Dinajpur, Thakurgaon, Panchagarh, Naogaon and Chapainawabganj districts participated in the course to enhance their skills on mobile phone repairing and maintenance.
Divisional Range Director of Ansar-VDP Kazi Shakhawat Hossain attended the concluding ceremony as the chief guest with District Commandant of Ansar-VDP and Camp Commander Abdus Samad in the chair.

Terming technical and vocational trainings, knowledge on ICT as the key
to achieve self-reliance, the chief guest called upon the Ansar-VDP members
to properly utilise the skills they acquired from the course to improve their
personal economic condition.
“The Ansar-VDP members have been largely contributing to build congenial
atmosphere for rural uplift through rendering sincere services, creating
public awareness side by side curbing social crimes and curses,” he said.
