A schoolgirl died on the spot as a passenger train ran over her at Rajghat under Nawapra industrial town on Wednesday.
The dead was identified as Afsana Meem Srabani, 15, student of class- X of Jafarpur Secondary School and also daughter of Shah Alam of Ektarpur village under Abhaynagar upazila in Jessore district.
The girl died as an intercity train coming from Khulna ran over her while she was returning home from a coaching center at the area in the morning.
