An allegedly miscreant group threw stones at a moving train at Bhairab station near the outer signal in Kishoreganj on Thursday night. The window glass was broken and the eyes of the train driver were damaged seriously.
The kishoreganj express train driver Kusru Ahmed is currently being treated at a hospital in Dhaka. Railway police have arrested 15 people for questioning in the incident.
According to railway sources, the Dhaka-bound intercity Kishoreganj Express, an intercity train from Kishoreganj came near the outer signal of Bhairab station at 6.45 pm. The main driver was operating the train. As the train passed the Laxmipur area of the municipal town, someone or someone started throwing stones at random from below.
Driver kusru could not longer open his eyes,after driver’s glass got stuck in his eye.Blood was coming out of his eyes. Within minutes the intercity train stopped at Bhairab Bazar station.
