A local leader of Krishak League was killed when he was hit by a speeding train at Noapara in Abhoynagar upazila of Jessore district on Monday night.
Officer-in-charge of Abhoynagar Police Station Nasir Uddin said a Jessore-bound train crashed into Atiar Rahman Molla,50, an executive member of Abhoynagar upazila unit of Krishak League, farmers’ front of the ruling
Awami League, around 8.00pm while he was crossing the rail tracks, leaving him injured.
He was rushed to Abhoynagar upazila health complex where doctors declared him dead.
