Train communication of Sylhet with other parts of the country has remained snapped since early Thursday as a huge amount of soil, under the rail track, was washed away by rainwater at Vanugach in Srimangal upazila of Moulvibazar district. Rustam Ali Fakir, station master of Kamalganj Rail Station, said the rail track became unfit for train movement as the soil under it moved away due to rainwater. Two trains — Jalalabad Express and Udayan Express – got stuck at Vanugach Rail Station and Shayestaganj Rail Station respectively. A team has already been sent to the spot to repair the rail track, Rustam added. — Sylhet, Feb 25 (UNB)
