Incessant rains: Traffic movement on Ctg-Rangamati road suspended

Chittagong Bureau :Incessant monsoon rain alongwith the hilly flash water most of the areas on Chittagong Rangamati road upto Raozan upazila bus station submerged. A poura dweller sources said Jalilnagar bus station submerged with waist deep water and no passenger buses from Raozan to Chittagong and other internal road of the upazila leave the station. Buses were taken away from the station to safer places . Sources said more than hundred ponds and fish hatcheries flown away. About one lakh people became waterlogged in Raozan upazila. Seed pads badly damaged with the flash flood. Raozan upazila sources said Jalilnagar, Munishirgata, Daiyargata, Kundeswari, Gohira in north raozan on Chittagong-Rangamati road submerged with waist deep water. Traffic movement in internal roads of Raozan upazila also submerged. Mentionable that Hafez Bazlur Rahman road, Noapara sarak, Sk. Ansar ali road , Moulana dost Md. Road, Gohira Wadudia road has gone under water following the 3 days incessant rain and hill flash water. Entire area of chikdair, sartha, Haladia, Gohira, Sultanpur inundated through erosion of Sartha and Dabua embankment. Crops land, seed pads, fish cultivation badly damaged. The prices of vegetables, local fishes, poultry chickens gone up beyond purchasing capacity. Raozan UN0 and Upazila project officer sources said flood situation in these areas going to be worst condition and more areas are gradually submerging following the heavy downpour for the last 4 days and hill flash water. Meanwhile local legislator ABM Fazle Karim chowdhury has instantly directed the local administration of Raozan to launch emergency measures for the flood affected people of the area, sources said.
