Traffic Inspector of Police was killed by ramming a covered van during his duty hours at Fakirhat area under Sitakunda thana in Chittagong on Saturday midnight.
The traffic inspector identified as Md. Nasiruddin (46). Nasiruddin hailed from Kasba thana under Brahmanbari district.
Baralia Highway Police officer Incharge Syed Zakir Hossain said a Chittagong bound covered van collides him while he was standing beside a lorry in Fakirhat area . Inspector killed on the spot, sources said. Later police recovered the body and sent to hospital. Police detained the covered van and the driver and the helper escaped from the spot quickly.
