A traditional boat race competition organised by Sher-e-Bangla Club, Narsingdi was held at Meghan river on Saturday afternoon.
Several thousands people including man, women and children of through the both sides and passengers boats of the Meghna river enjoyed the boat race.
A total of 45 teams from Kishorganj, Brahmanbaria, Hobigonj and others districts took part in the event.
Sher-e-Bangla Club of Narsingdi organised the traditional boat race in Meghna river in Narsingdi Sher- e- Bangla Club of Narsingdi organised the boat race every years.
State minister for water resources Lt col (reted) Nazrul Islam Hiru (Birpratik) attended boat race competition as Chief Guest while Additional Secretary and President of Sher -e – Bangla Club Kaikobad Hossan in Chair.
Narsingdi Zilla Parishad Administrator Adv Ashaduzzaman and General Secretary Sher-e-Bangla Club Nur-e-Alam Nanno, Narsingdi City Awami League President Montaj Uddin Bhuiyan and Ashaduzzaman Khoka were present.
