A trader was stabbed to death by some unidentified miscreants near Municipality market in the capital’s Kafrul area on Wednesday night.
The deceased was identified as Shahjahan Rubel, 45, owner of Raha Partex at Ibrahimpur in the area and son of late Mojibullah hailing from Dakkhin Chandipur in Ramganj Upazila of Laxmipur district.
The victim’s brother Mehedi Hasan said some miscreants indiscriminately stabbed Shahjahan while he was returning home at night after closing his shop, leaving him severely injured.
He was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where duty doctor declared him dead around 11:15pm said Bacchu Mia, Sub-Inspector of DMCH police camp.
