UNB, Kushtia :
A trader was stabbed to death by some miscreants at Belgharia in Sadar upazila on Thursday night.
The deceased was identified as Omar Sheikh, 57, a cloth shop owner.
Quoting local people, police said a group of miscreants, numbering 4-5 swooped on Omar Sheikh while he was returning home from his business establishment and stabbed him indiscriminately around 11:30 pm, leaving him critically injured.
Later, he was taken to Kushtia General Hospital where doctors declared him dead.
Nasir Uddin, officer-in-charge of Kushtia Model Police Station, said police are investigating the incident.
