The government has extended the Dhaka International Trade Fair 2015 by 10 days following the demands of participating businessmen.
The fair will now come to an end on February 10, said an Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) official.
Usually, the government bears the cost of the fair.
But now, the participants will have to pay half of the amount for the extended days, he said.
The government took the decision amid the BNP-led 20-party alliance’s enforced non-stop countrywide blockade started on January 5.
The participating businessmen in the trade fair have been demanding the extension as they saw small crowds in the fair due to political violence.
