A tractor driver has died i after his his vehicle was hit by a truck on the Bangabandhu Bridge.
The victim was identified as Bisharat Ali, 40. The bridge traffic control room assistant manager Shamsul Haque said the accident took place in the north laneon Friday morning.
“The Dhaka-bound tractor was dragging another broken tractor along from north lane. As the two tractors approached north lane’s pillar No. 46, a truck rammed them and fled. The tractor driver, Bisharat Ali, died at the spot.” The victim’s body was handed over to Bangabandhu Bridge (east)

Traffic flow was hampered following the accident. The situation became normal once the damaged tractors were removed about half an hour after the accident.
