Bangladesh Coast Guard forces in East Zone, Chittagong seized toxic drugs, wine worth about Tk.175 crores from Chittagong zone in last one year during 2015.
The seized drugs were destroyed in front of East zone headquarters in Chittagong in presence of Narcotics Control department officials after finalization of the suits so filed after seizure of these drugs.
BCG, east zone sources said the seized drugs include 13.50 lakh yaba tablets, 22,854 cans of bear and wine, 2500 liters local wine,2140 liters cholai madh, 3,480 pieces of intoxicative injections , 21 kg hems and 790 bottles phensidyl .
Zonal Commander of East Zone Lt.Commander Mohinuzzaman told that the yearlong seizure of drugs and wines were destroyed after final verdict of the concerned court.
In the function of destroying these drugs, Director general of BCG Rear Admiral M Mokbul Hossain, Director General of Narcotics Control Department Khondakar Rakibur Rahman and senior officials of CG and NCD were present , sources said.
