Tourist’s throat-slit body found in C’Bazar

 Police recovered a throat-slit body of a tourist from a guest house at Kalatali area of the district town on Saturday night.
According to the register of the Camellia Guest House, the deceased was identified as Jafar Alam, 47, son of Kabir Ahmad of Noapara under Rauzan Upazila in Chittagong District.
Manager of the Camellia Guest House Shamsur Haq said two persons including the deceased boarded the no. 201 room of the guest house on Friday night. Later, police recovered the body at 7:45pm on Saturday.
Officer-in-Charge (Investigation) of Cox’s Bazar Sadar Model Police Station Bakhtiar Chowdhury said, “There are knife-charge and strangulation marks around the neck of the deceased. Soon after the incident, the victim’s companion fled the scene. We are trying to nab him.”
