Business Report :
Tour Operators’ Association of Bangladesh (TOAB), the apex body of the country’s tour providers, announced today that its annual flagship tourism fair will be held next month for getting more foreign participants.
The fair titled “Bangladesh Travel and Tourism Fair (BTTF) 2015” will be held at the same venue, the international Convention city in Bashundhara in the capital at the freshly scheduled time.
Like every year, Rafiuzzaman said the TOAB is expecting representation from national tourism organizations (NTO) of a number of countries and participation from a good number of local and international tour operators, hotels, motels, travel agents and airlines at the fair.
“We have decided to hold our annual fair from November 19 to 21 instead of October 15 to 17 as announced earlier anticipating participation of more foreign participants to make the exposition prolific,” TOAB acting president Rafiuzzaman told journalists at a press briefing at Dhaka Reporters’ Unity (DRU).
“Now we are getting more than a month extra time to arrange the fair. So, we are hopeful to make it larger than the previous years,” he said.
The TOAB leader showed his anticipation that the fair will help create tourism hype in the country just before starting of the tourism year 2016, declared by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
