UNB, Dhaka :
Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu on Thursday warned that stern action will be taken if anyone is found involved in financing militant activities in the country.
“If anyone’s involvement could be identified, stern action would be taken against him of her,” the minister said while talking to reporters after a meeting of a taskforce committee at the Secretariat.
The committee was formed on September 21 with the Industries Minister as its head for strengthening activities to find out sources of terror financing.
“Intelligence forces have been working to identify the sources of terror financing,” he said.
State Minister for Home Asaduzzaman Khan, Dhaka Metropolitan Police Commissioner Benzir Ahmed, the chiefs of Police, Rab and BGB and high officials of Home Ministry attended the meeting.
