A week-long solo painting exhibition based on watercolour of artist Toufiqur Rahman titled Floral Motif will begin at Drik Gallery in the city’s Dhanmondi area from January 8. Vice President of Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) Mahmud Hasan Khan (Babu) will inaugurate the exhibition as the chief guest at 4:00pm at Drik Gallery.
Eminent artist and Professor of the Drawing and Painting Department, Faculty of Fine Arts of University of Dhaka Jamal Ahmed and grandson of late Nawab Altaf Ali Chowdhury of Bogra Syed Hamde Ali will be present as special guests on the occasion.
Artist Toufiqur Rahman was born in Dhaka in 1974. He completed BFA from Government Art College, Chittagong in 1997 and MFA from Department of Painting, Faculty of Fine Arts of Chittagong University in 2011. Now he is working as drawing faculty at Scholastica School Mirpur campus.
