Police recovered a touchstone idol from a pond at Satpar village in Naria upazila on Monday afternoon.
Naria Upazila Nirbahi officer Sanjida Yasmin said workers found the idol, weighing some 20 kg, while digging a pond of Abu Bakkar Khan Bachchu of the village at Tejongapur union.
On information, a team of police, led by Md Aslam Uddin, officer-in-charge of Naria Police Station, recovered the idol.
Another idol, weighing 40 kg, was recovered from the pond 15 years ago, said Abu Bakkar.
