Govt to import fertilisers

UNB, Dhaka :The government will import 450,000 metric tonnes of Triple Super Phosphate (TSP) and 150,000mt of Diammonium Phosphate (DAP) fertilisers to meet the coming season’s domestic requirement.Of the proposed bulk TSP fertiliser import, 300,000 mt will come from Groupe Chimique Tunisien (GCT), a state-owned Tunisian fertiliser company, and 150,000 mt from Moroccan state-owned company OCP SA.The remaining 150,000 mt DAP fertiliser will also come from the same Moroccan company.A Cabinet Purchase Committee meeting, chaired by Finance Minister AMA Muhith,...
