With the future of Inter striker Mauro Icardi uncertain, English side Tottenham Hotspur are interested in the Argentinian international.
Early this week the Nerazzurri rejected a huge offer from Spanish side Atletico Madrid for their captain with interest mounting in the young forward.
Even though Icardi was handed the captaincy by coach Roberto Mancini last season, there remains speculation linking him with a move away from the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.
Spurs are set to make a €50 million offer for Icardi in order to beat competition from their North London rivals Arsenal who had been linked with the Biscione’s star man.
Icardi has himself made it clear he wants to remain with the Nerazzurri, and it appears the club share his outlook after turning down an offer of just under €50 million from Atletico Madrid.
After starting his career in his native Argentina, Icardi joined Inter in 2013 and has made 91 Serie A appearances, scoring 47 goals in the process. In addition, the former Sampdoria striker currently has a contract with the club effective until the summer of 2019.
