President of Chittagong City Awami League and former City Mayor ABM Mohiuddin Chowdhury said Rohingya muslims are the permanent citizens of Rakhaine state of Myanmar by birth . The Myanmar authority is torturing these Rohinyga citizen inhumanly led them to leave their homeland . He said this type of torture is against the humanity .
He disclosed it while addressing the mass rally of Muktijudder Bijoy Mela in front of Laldighi Jame mosque on Friday after juma prayer . MBM organised a protest rally against the torture, repression, killing, raping etc by the Myanmar regime to Rohingya muslims. He also said Bangladesh is watching the situation over it and desire solutions over Rohingya issues internationally with the utmost participation of of UNO. Among others, secretary general MBM Md. Yousuf, FF Enamul Hoque chowdhury, joint secretary of city AL MA Rashid, office secretary Hasan Mahmud Shamser, Law affairs secretary Adv. Iftekhan Saimul chowdhury, spoke on the occasion.
Buddhists protest torture on Myanmar Muslims : Sammailito Bouddha Nagarik Committee here on Friday formed a human chain in front of Chittagong Press Club demanding to put an end to the torture on Muslim minorities in Myanmar.
Speaking briefly on the occasion, the Buddhist leaders said every citizen of any country has the constitutional right to live peacefully in their homeland.
“But Myanmar is carrying out killings and tortures on the Muslim minorities there, defying the international rules,” they said.
Strongly protesting the attacks, the Buddhist leaders urged the Myanmar government to stop the atrocities on the Muslim minorities.
