The Bangabandhu Bangladesh Premier League (BBPL) Twenty20 cricket came to an end on Friday last. Rajshahi Royals emerged as the champions in BBPL defeating Khulna Tigers by 21 runs in the final at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in the city’s Mirpur.
Let us see the performances of top five batsmen and top five bowlers in the outgoing BBPL.
Rilee Rossouw of Khulna Tigers was the top batsman scoring 495 runs who played 14 matches. His highest score was 71 (not out) and he hit four half-centuries. His average was 45.00.
Mushfiqur Rahim, the captain of Khulna Tigers took the second spot scoring 491 runs. He played 14 matches. His highest score was 98 (not out) and he hit four half-centuries. His average was 70.14.
Liton Das of Rajshahi Royals took the third position with 455 runs. He played 15 matches and his highest score was 75. He hit three half-centuries. His average was 32.50.
Shoaib Malik of Rajshahi Royals secured the fourth position making 455 runs. He played 15 matches and his highest score was 87. He struck three half-centuries and his average was 37.91.
Dawid Malan of Cumilla Warriors took the fifth position with 444 runs. He played 11 matches and his highest score was 100 (not out). He hit one century and three half-centuries. His average was 49.33.
Top five bowlers:
Mustafizur Rahman of Rangpur Rangers, Mohammad Amir of Khulna Tigers, Rubel Hossain of Chattogram Challengers and Robbie Frylinck of Khulna Tigers were jointly the top highest wicket takers with 20 wickets each. Mustafizur Rahman played 12 matches, while Mohammad Amir, Rubel Hossain played 13 matches each and Robbie Frylinck played 14 matches.
Mustafizur’s best performance was 3/10 with an average of 15.60.
Amir’s best performance was 6/17 with an average of 17.75.
Rubel’s best performance was 3/17 with an average of 17.85.
Frylinck’s best performance was 5/16 with an average of 19.60.
Shahidul Islam of Khulna Tigers took the fifth spot with 19 wickets. He played 13 matches and his best bowling performance was 4/23. His average was 20.84.
