The year 2014 saw a number of films minting money at the Box Office. Ironically, most of the films that raked in the moolah, failed to impress the critics. A number of movie-goers may have felt that these movies were good value for their money, but there were several others, who felt that these films were super duds!
Let’s take a look at the films, which promised to deliver quality content:
Humshakals
Sajid Khan outdid himself by directing a disaster like Humshakals. The film featuring Saif Ali Khan, Riteish Deshmukh and Ram Kapoor turned out to be nothing less an agony for the viewer.
Action Jackson
Directed by Prabhudheva, Action Jackson starring Ajay Devgn, Sonakshi Sinha, Yami Gautam and Manasvi Mamgai promised entertainment. Unfortunately, the film had everything that could put a viewer to sleep.
Bang Bang
Starring Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif, Bang Bang directed by Siddharth Anand was based on Tom Cruise and Camron Diaz’s Kinght and Day. The film’s teaser went on to become a huge hit. But the film failed to live up to the hype.
Happy New Year
The makers of Happy New Year left no stone unturned in marketing the film. Featuring Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Sonu Sood, Boman Irani and Vivaan Shah, HNY directed by Farah Khan turned out to be a massive letdown.
Jai Ho
Directed by Sohail Khan, Jai Ho, starring Salman Khan could have been a lot better had it been treated well. But the film with a good social message turned out to be too preachy.
