Once country’s popular TV actor Tony Dayes is now residing in USA. He along with his family has been staying there for many years. Six years ago, he came to Bangladesh. After coming Dhaka last week, he went to Cox’s Bazar to pass time with his college friends. After staying there for few days, he returned to USA last Monday night. Before leaving country, Tony met his old media colleagues at a get-together party at a restaurant in the capital’s Banani area on Monday evening organised by popular TV actress Tareen Jahan.
Azizul Hakim, Shahiduzzaman Selim, Tauquir Ahmed, Tanveen Sweety, Jinat Hakim, Golam Farida Chhonda, Runa Khan, Moushumi Nag, Ashna Habib Bhabna, director SA Haque Alik, Shanta Rahman, among others. They were excited to meet their old colleague Tony.
Hailed from Noakhali, Tony Dayes was a student of Department of Management at University of Dhaka. Before going to Cox’s Bazar, he also visited his department. Tony-starrer first TV serial was Tothapi. His acted first package faction play was against Sadia Islam Mou titled Obhimaney Anubhobey. His acted first movie was Nargis Akter’s Megher Koley Rode. He also acted in same director’s another film Poush Masher Pirit. In 2005, Tony first gave direction of a play titled Dur Kuashai Tumi. Last year he acted under Rahmatullah Tuhin-directed serial New York Theke Bolchhi. He acted under the theatre troupe, Nagorik Nattya Sampraday.
