A new species of agri -product was evolved in Raozan recently. The exceptional agri product consists of two types of output in one plant .
This new species of plant evolved following the research carried out in Comlla BADC Agri Research Centre .
A farmer of Raozan procured the plant and underwent farming in his courtyard premises in tubs primarily.
Farmer Nurul Azim planted 4 clonal sapling and 10 plants in current year in last year . The farmer achieved desired success from the farming of pomato. Mentionable that the plant named as Pomato because of two products simultaneously in one plant like tomato in upper portions o f the plant and the potato in under ground portion of the plant. The cultivation of pomato like potato farming as well as in yard’s tubs.
While contacted with the Official of Raozan Agri office Sanjit Kumar shil told that this species of pomato plant evolved by graft the seedlings of potato and tomato by the Comilla Potato Research Centre recently.
Upazila Agriculture Officer Md Belayet Hossain coionfirmed the production of pomato by the farmer Nurul Azim.
