Members of the district bar association boycotted the district judge court and chief judicial magistrate’s court on Tuesday, demanding withdrawal of district chief judicial magistrate and additional chief judicial magistrate from the district.
As the part of the programme, the bar members brought out a silent rally on the court premises on Tuesday morning. Vice-President of Rangamati Bar Association Advocate Uthoi Ching, Secretary Advocate Hola Thoai Ching, Advocate Protim Roy, Advocate Dulal Sarker and other members of the bar join the rally. But, President of the bar Advocate Mokhter Ahmed was absent in the programme.
Despite the boycott, regular activities of all courts were normal.
