Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed left here on Sunday morning for Rome to join the 4th Ministerial Meeting on Agricultural Commodity Markets and Prices at FAO.
The meeting will begin today with the theme “Long-term Commodity Price Trends and Sustainable Agriculture Development”.
The Commerce Minister is participating in the meeting at the invitation of FAO Director General Jose Graziano Da Silva.
Bangladesh is committed to working with other countries to eliminate poverty and hunger under SDG-2030.
To attain the SDG-2030, food security is very essential for the countries. The ministerial meeting will discuss food security, agriculture production, marketing and price stability and that’s why it is very important for Bangladesh.
The minister is due to return home on October 7.
