Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed on Tuesday left here for Cambodia to attend a workshop “International Trade, Finance and Development of Global Value Chain”.
Bangladesh minister will inaugurate the three-day workshop tomorrow, jointly organized by the Cambodian Commerce Ministry and the Trade Training and Research Institute (TTRI), said ministry release on Tuesday.
The workshop focuses on discussing to formulate the trade policies and its implementation to the Greater Mekong Sub-region (GMS) countries -Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam etc, as well as develop the framework of regulatory authority of those countries.
During the visit, Tofail Ahmed would also sit with his Cambodian counterpart and discuss on the expansion of bilateral trade. He is likely to return home on April 28.
