Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed left here early on Sunday for Brussels to attend the follow-up meeting of Sustainability Compact.
The meeting is scheduled to be held today where the representatives of European Union, USA, ILO, Donor Agencies, Producers, Trade Union and Civil Society would take part.
The Sustainability Compact was formed against the backdrop of Rana Plaza Tragedy to ensure safety in work place and labour rights in RMG factories.
In the meeting, Bangladesh will raise different aspects taken by the government including revision of labour law, structural integrity of factory building, professional health and safety and labour rights.
The commerce minister is leading a 12-member delegation to take part in the meeting. The minister is likely to return home in the morning of October 22.
