Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed on Wednesday urged the Hong Kong authorities to simplify its visa processing system for Bangladesh tourists and businesspeople to further boost the bilateral trade.
Tofail Ahmed, who is now on a visit to Hong Kong, made the request during a bilateral meeting with Gregory So Kam-Leung, secretary of commerce and economic development of Hong Kong, said a media release.
During the meeting the commerce minister also urged the businesspeople of Hong Kong and China to invest in Bangladesh saying that their investment will be profitable because Bangladesh has an investment friendly policy and environment.
Tofail Ahmed said Bangladesh is a suitable place for investment because the government is giving the overseas businesspeople all facilities to invest in Bangladesh.
