Staff Reporter :The Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and its equivalent examinations scheduled for today (Sunday) will be held on Friday (February 20) from 9am to 12 noon as the BNP-led 20-party has again come out with a call for 72-hour hartal. Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid made the declaration during a press briefing at his residence on Saturday afternoon. Nahid said that security of the students is more important to the government than their examinations. “The lives of the examinees are far more important to us than the examinations. So we are deferring the examinations’s dates,” he said. About 1.5 million students are taking the SSC examinations this year across the country.
