A discussion meeting organised by Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD) to commemorate the National Mourning Day was held at Col.Taher auditorium at Bangabandhu Avenue in the city on Saturday. Information Minister and President of JSD Hasanul Haq Inu, MP was present as the chief guest. While speaking Inu said that by achieving the goals set by Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman the country would pay-back the blood-debt owed to Bangabandhu. Referring to the implications of the killing on August 15, 1975 he said that “They (the killers) had tried to destroy the soul of the nation.”
“Not only that, they imposed four demons on the nation”, he added, explaining “They are: military rule, anti-Liberation political values, communalism and its political vehicle-BNP.” “Today’s militants germinated in the wombs of the killers of 1971 and 1975. They did the same thing on 21st August 2004. In the same way, they had resorted to secret killings and suicide attacks on non-combatants,” he said.
