The policyholders have announced to stop the harassment of MetLife Insurance Company and to take legal action if they do not accept the three-point demand.
Masuk Ahmed of Ambari village in Zakiganj Upazila made the announcement on behalf of the harassed customers at a press conference held at Sylhet District Press Club on Monday.
In a written statement at the press conference, Masuk Ahmed said they bought the policy from Kabir Khan’s agency at the suggestion of Russell Uz-Zaman, insurance representative of MetLife Company’s Kabir Khan Agency in Barutkhana, Sylhet, and encouraged many of their friends and relatives to do the same. However, when news of the company’s corruption surfaced in various newspapers recently, they contacted Russell-uz-Zaman.
