December 1 was 18th death anniversary of noted director, actor, lyricist, music composer and producer Khan Ataur Rahman (Khan Ata). December 11 is also his birth anniversary. To pay tribute to Khan Ata’s these two days; Banglavision organises a special musical programme where songs of Khan Ata’s films and several other songs those were rendered by him in Bangladesh Betar will be presented.
These songs will be rendered by Khan Ata’s daughter popular singer Rumana Islam and promising singer Apu in the programme. They will be seen to perform at Music Club tonight on Banglavision at 11:30pm.
While talking about the programme Rumana Islam told this correspondent, “Yesterday doa and milad mahfil were arranged to pay tribute to Abbu. Today we will render his songs in a live programme. I hope it will be a nice show.”
On the other hand, for the first time, with Rumana Islam Apu is going to perform together for first time. While sharing his feelings he said, “Khan Ataur Rahman was a legendary icon of our film industry. I like his many songs. I believe with Rumana Apu it will be a nice programme.”
