Muggers looted Tk6 lakh after injuring two ‘bKash’ agents in Tongi area of the district on Thursday.
Witnesses said a group of muggers riding two motorcycles intercepted Anwar and Taijul, two ‘bKash’ agents, near Mudafa Knit Avenue Factory around 2 pm and beat them up mercilessly at gunpoint.
Later they snatched away a bag containing Tk6 lakh and left the place hurriedly.
The injured ‘bKash’ agents were rushed to Tongi Government Hospital.
Mohammad Ali, officer-in-charge of Tongi Police Station, confirmed the incident.
