Tk36,000 cr Japanese fund to be spent for uplift of Ctg

State Minister for Power and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid MP said the sanctioned fund of Japan govt of Tk.36000 cr will be spent for over all development of Chittagong and this is the history of such amount of allocation for a particular regions in last 40 years.
 The entire allocations will be expensed for power plants, LNG terminal construction, Deep Seaport etc. in greater Chittagong.
 He disclosed it while addressing the martyrdom anniversary of the father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Chittagong as arranged by the Bangabhandu Prokoshali Parishad , Chittagong at Engineer Institute on Friday as Chief Guest. The minister also disclosed that more 6 billion dollars are in the offing from abroad and present AL govt has achieved tremendous success in the field of power and energy.
He said the ongoing development activities of Bangladesh will remain as model of development across the world and most of the countries are expressing their involvement in our development sphere.
He mentioned the engineers that Bangabhandhu emerged the independence of the country and the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is building Sonar Bangla as dreamt by the father of the nation. He said we should go ahead with the dream of the Bangabhandu . He also assures the dwellers of Chittagong to resolve the gas and power crisis .
 Former Mayor and city AL President ABM Mohiuddin C howdhury said the engineers should acquire the confidence of the people to resolve the prevailing crisis of the country. General Secretary of city AL , AZM Nasiruddin said engineers should discharge their duties cordially to implement the bigger projects of the present govt. Senior Vice President President of Chittagong Chapter of Bangabhandu Prokaushuli Parisad Sirajul Islam presided over it.
 Before the starting of the programs, deep homage paid to Bangabandhu by placing the floral wreaths in his portrait in the venue and prayed for salvation of departed soul.
