Robbers looted Tk 6 lakh from a Krishi Bank branch at Shamsernagar Road in Moulvibazar district town on Tuesday night.
Manager of the branch Nazmul Islam said he, being informed by their night guards, rushed to the bank branch around 10 pm and found its window grills, vault lock and collapsible gate broken.
The burglars might have entered the vault room some time at night breaking open the window and looted Tk 6.26 lakh from the vault, said the manager.
On information, police rushed in and arrested three guards of the bank for interrogation.
The arrestees were identified as Muzahid Ahmed, 26, Mansur Mia, 27 and Shafiq Mia, 33, all hailing from Sadar upazila of Moulvibazar district.
Deputy Commissioner of the district Kamrul Hasan and police super Mohammad Shah Jalal visited the spot. A case was filed in this connection.
