Bangladesh Railway East zone earned additional tk.50 lakh within 14 days from May 14 last by connecting extra 54 bogies . These extra bogies were connected in intercity trains viz.Subarna, Turna Nishita, Mohanagar Goduli and Sonar Bangla express trains in addition of regular scheduled bogies plying in between Chattogram and Dhaka and vice versa.
East Zone traffic control of Chattogram said following the extra demand of tickets, a/c chair, A/c slipper and Shovan chair bogies were connected in these intercity trains. An official of Railway, Chattogram CRB told that following the additional demands of tickets, these extra bogies were deployed for the smooth communications of the people and the home bound easily reached their destinations. Sensing the demands of the more additional bogies, the repair and renovation works of the technically fault bogies are undergoing in full speed in Railway workshop in Chattogram so as to deploy the extra bogies in other trains other than Dhaka-Ctg track , sources added.
