Staff Reporter: Samina Moinuddin and Ehsanul Haque have donated a total of Tk 50 lakhs for establishing up two dialysis bed units at Gonoshasthaya Nagar Hospital, Dhanmondi.
They provided this grant to set up two Dialysis Units which will be named after their parents’ Engineer Fazlul Haque and Sophia Haque.
The donors handed over the donation on Friday, at the house of the donors located in Dhanmondi of the capital.
Founder and Trustee of Gonoshasthaya Kendra Dr. Zafrullah Chowdhury and Vice president of Gonoshasthya Samaj Vittik Medical College Dr. Mahib Ullah Khandaker were present on the occasion. Samina Moinuddin and her husband, former minister Arif Moinuddin, were present on the occasion.
Dr. Zafrullah Chowdhury said,“ I express my sincere gratitude to the donors for donating two dialysis bed units in the name of their father and mother.”
He appealed to the wealthy members of the society to come forward to serve the helpless dialysis patients.
It should be noted that all donations are income tax-free.
