Border Guards Bangladesh (BGB) destroyed illegal narcotics items worth Tk 5.67 crore here Wednesday (June 12) morning.The drugs were seized in drives carried out in Sylhet bordering areas in last two years.
The items include Indian liquor, Bangla liquor, Beer, Phesedyl, yaba, hemps and Indian bidi.
BGB 48 Commanding Officer Lt Col Ahmed Yusuf Jamil, Sylhet district administration Assistant Commissioner (AC) Executive Magistrate Sunanda Roy and Department of Narcotics Control Sub-Inspector Md Humayun Kabir, among others, inspected the ruin.
