Tk 4 lakh looted from bKash employee

Miscreants shot at Mohammad Ramzan Ali, a bKash employee, in the city’s Rampura area on Thursday noon and took away Tk four lakh from his possession.
Ramzan was returning to his agent office at Khilgaon after collecting money from different bKash centers. But when he reached in front of TV Building at around 1:00 pm, a gang of unknown miscreants numbering six intercepted him and tried to snatch money
kept in a bag, his brother Miraz Ali quoting from eyewitnesses told the media.
Having failed in their attempt, one of the criminals shot at his thigh and went away taking the bag, leaving him on the spot in a critical condition in a pool of blood, Miraz added. He was rushed to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) for treatment.
A few days ago also, miscreants took away Tk seven lakh from another bKash agent’s employee from the same area, local people said.
Rampura Thana Officer-in-Charge (OC) Alamgir Hossain told The New Nation that he had sent an officer to the spot and the hospital.
Police would try to identify the miscreants from the video footage of the installing close circuit camera.
