A gang of snatchers shot at a fish trader and took away Tk 25,000 from him at the city’s East Rajabazar under Sher-e-Banglanagar early Saturday.
The victim has been identified as Hanif, 40, a resident of East Rajabazar.
Sher-e-Banglanagar Police Station’s Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abdul Momin said that a gang of muggers, numbering 4-5, intercepted Hanif and snatched
away Tk 25,000 from his possession while he was going to Karwanbazar around 5:00am.
The locals recovered him from the spot and rushed to the Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH), the police official said.
