Chattogram City Corporation (CCC) has taken a project to construct residential buildings for some 1,309 cleaners of the organization at Tk 231.42 crore.
The project was approved in the meeting of the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) scheduled to be held yesterday in the capital. CCC Mayor AJM Nasir Uddin attended the meeting with the invitation of the committee.
Under the project, a total of seven 14-storied buildings will be constructed with 1309 flats. According to CCC sources, there would be three buildings at Bundle Colony, one at Feeringhee Bazar, two in Jhaotala of Agrabad, and one in Sagarika. The construction works of those buildings are expected to be completed by 2020.
