Chittagong Bureau :
Chittagong City Mayor Manzoor Alam said an amount of Tk.221 crores will be spent for repairs, renovation and construction of culverts and bridged in the city in current fiscal.
This was disclosed in the 49th general meeting of Chittagong City Corporation recently . This amount will be spent with the financial assistance of Jaica . The proposed projects of roads and bridges include Zakir Hossain Road, Airport road, retaining wall of Guptakhal , footpath of mariners road, renovations of drains, construction of Rubi cement bridge, bridge of gupta khal, Chakta Khal Bridge, Fishery Ghat bridge, Jalilgonj Bridge, Tekpara bridge and the retaining wall of Mirzakhal and developmentof syed shah road.
The meeting also approved 20 percent eid bonus bonus with minimum of Tk.1500 for the temporary staffs and workers. Among others, ward councilors, female councilors, chief executive officer, secretary and the departmental heads of the city corporation were presenting the meeting.
