A grant of Tk 21 lakh 20 thousand from the Prime Minister’s Relief and Welfare Fund was distributed in Bhangura of Pabna on Wednesday for the treatment of helpless and poor people suffering from incurable diseases including cancer.
Md. Mokbul Hossain, Member of Parliament for Pabna-3 and Chairman of the Standing Committee on the Ministry of Land, distributed the check at his Bhangura residence on Wednesday. Earlier, the money was allocated for the treatment of these 47 sick men and women in Pabna- 3 area (Bhangura, Chatmohar and Faridpurupazila).
At the time Mayor GolamHasnainRashel of Bhangura Municipality, Aslam Ali District Council Member, Zakir Hossain Senior Vice President of UpazilaAwami League, Juba League Leader Ibnul Hasan Shakil, Chhatra League President Imran Hasan Arif, Khalilur Rahman President of FaridpurUpazilaAwami League and General Secretary AshrafulKabir were present on the occasion.
Selina Khatun of Sarutia village in Bhanguraupazila and Jahangir Alam of Ashtomanisha village said, “We were suffering from rectal tumors and kidney problems.” We are now much healthier after receiving advanced treatment in exchange for the Prime Minister’s relief assistance.
