Tk 2 lakh snatched in Sylhet

Muggers snatched Tk 2 lakh from a UK citizen and stabbed him in broad daylight on the Kazi Elias Zindabazar Road, Sylhet city on Tuesday morning.
 The victim was identified as Sirajul Haque Anam, son of late Lal Miah from Boroikandi area in Sylhet.
 The injured person undergoing treatment at Nurjahan Hospital is now out of danger, said Deputy Superintendent of the hospital.
Quoting the witnesses and victims, Assistant Commissioner of Sylhet Metropolitan Police said that a gang of muggers, numbering 6 to 7, riding on motorcycles, intercepted
 Sirajul Haque Anam, on Zindabazar Road at around 10:30am.
They stabbed Sirajul Haque Anam during the incident and took away the money,
Leaving Sirajul Haque Anam injured, Kotwali Police Station’s Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md Monirul Islam confirmed the incident and said that police are trying to recover the snatched money and arrest the suspected muggers of the incident.
